Hey There! I am Haley, Your Wedding Planner!

As I said before, my name is Haley, and I am a wedding planner. I co-own Tying the Knot alongside Amber who you will hear from in our next blog post! This company came to me on a whim, I will not lie to you. I was bartending one night at a wedding in a Pinola mobile bar and was talking to the wedding planner and her world seemed so interesting and fun, so I decided to look into it. I already knew I wanted to be in the wedding industry, I just wasn't sure where I would fit in to the crazy wedding world. I decided that I was going to find a wedding planner to take me under their wing and see what a day in the life would consist of. After planning upwards of thirty weddings, I decided to get certified. I passed the class with flying colors and before I knew it, it was two in the morning, and I was creating a website and ordering business cards. It has been three months now and Amber and I are here to tell you about all things wedding, life and wellness and honestly who knows what else. We are just going to roll with it.

This is my husband (Zack) and I at a Buffalo Bills game, yes, we are the "crazy" NFL fans.

So, you plan weddings but what else do you do?

I work full time at an infrastructure company as a Talent Management Specialist, my job is to do everything that no one else wants to do is what that means. I work from home, so I spend a lot of time with my dogs, Diesel (Great Dane) and Daisy (Mastiff/Boxer). I live in the countryside only eight minutes away from where I grew up and currently where my grandparents reside. My husband and I watch a lot of football and love to play Fortnite. We have been together for five and a half years and we recently got married in March. The wedding planner eloped in Asheville, NC and honestly, I would have done nothing differently.

What is this blog and why are you writing it?

This blog is a place for Amber and me to give you advice on wedding planning, wellness or whatever you want really. We are excited to share all of the ups and downs of owning a company, what kind of curveballs life throws at us, and we want to answer all of your questions.
